Current Staff
In addition to being a wonderful place for children, Frog Pond is also a great place to work. Our staff is made up of individuals representing a variety of cultures and ethnicities. The teacher/administrative retention rate at Frog Pond is very high, as we celebrate a diverse, safe, and nurturing place to grow as a teacher and childcare professional.

My name is Linda, and I've been teaching in Virginia for five years. I am originally from Michigan. I moved to Virginia to be closer to my daughter and her family. I enjoy spending time with my grandson. We both enjoy doing arts and crafts, painting, and building things. I also like to sew. I love to be outdoors, and I spend a lot of time hiking, biking, sports, and camping.

Hello, this is Koko Iftikhar. I joined Frog Pond in 2011 and took a break for two years in the middle. I recently rejoined the learning center this January. I love working with kids, especially at Frog Pond, because this is how I grew up, playing outside in nature. I love being around nature, and I feel lucky to do things I love while being at work.

Hello, My name is Jannatul Poly. I have been at Frog Pond early learning center for two years as a frog teacher and enjoy it there. I’ve always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember because I enjoy working with and like watching kids be amazed when they learn something new. I want to think of my teaching style as a safe but fun learning experience for all my students as well as promoting respect and always encourage my students to interact with each other so they can build the social skills they need for their future as well as encouraging them to enjoy and take advantage of the great outdoors and respecting and loving Mother Nature, I am very grateful for my Frog pond teaching team together we provide a safe and enjoyable learning experience for all of our students.

My name is Rebeca Siguenza, I moved to the United States when I was 14 years old. I’ve been at Frog Pond for nine wonderful years now. I enjoy working in a place surrounded by nature. It reminds me a lot of how I grew up in El Salvador. Currently, I’m working on my Early Childhood associate. I love children, sports, art, coffee, and desserts.

Hi, I’m Maxwell.! I’m so excited to return for my third year as a preschool teacher at Frog Pond! It’s been such a joy to be part of this school family, and I can’t wait to continue helping our little learners grow and thrive.
I’m an energetic and outgoing person who loves to make children laugh. Whether I’m being silly or tripping over my words, it’s all worth it just to see their bright smiles! Outside of teaching, I’m a huge sports fan—especially basketball, which I’ve been playing since 3rd grade. I’ve also had the chance to play lacrosse in college and football in high school, so sports have always been close to my heart.
I’m so excited to meet all the kids and parents again and can’t wait to see how much our students will grow in the year ahead!
