Tadpole Tuesdays: Play Baking and Family

Today the Tadpoles had fun with a variety of activities indoors. At the art
table today, they played with play dough and toys. They pretended to bake
with the play dough, in toy baking tins. Later they made a craft with Ms.
Yashoda. They glued popsicle sticks to colored paper to make a frame for a
family photo. They talked about families and who’s in their families,
parents, siblings, pets, etc.  They also got to color a picture of a penguin
to go with their snowy day!

In the front room, the Tadpoles played with dress-ups, cars, and the ABC
blocks. They zoomed the cars on the floor and in the car garages. They built
towers and roads with the ABC’s. They sang songs about family, 10 Little
Ducks, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and they read books about family. One
book was about different kinds of pets that people have. They also enjoyed
playing kitchen. They put toy food on their plates, sat at the table, and
pretended to eat. As I write this, I hear in the background Ms. Yashoda’s
voice happily and dramatically reading to the Tadpoles. They are in rapt
attention!

In the back room they played big Legos. They loved building tall towers with
the Legos, and spent quite some time doing it! They also played with soft
squishy balls, throwing them and watching where they went. They got out the
doll houses and played with those as well. In the small media table there
were soft cotton balls for feeling with their hands.

It was a fun day at Frog Pond!

Sincerely,

Diana
