Tadpole Tuesdays: Climbing Around

This morning, the Tadpoles read “The Relatives Came” with the teachers.
They really enjoyed listening to the story! The children also helped the teachers to make leaf cut outs for place mats for the Thanksgiving meal they are having tomorrow. At the art table, some children also played with stamps and ink. In the media table, the Tadpoles used their sense of touch to play with different colored tulle.

In the front room, the children used their fine motor skills to play with wooden trains and round blocks. Some children also played with dress-up clothes and pretended to have a picnic. Some also read books. In the back room, they put together legos to make different structures and enjoyed running around. In the portable media table, the children played with sand paper on wooden blocks.

Today, one group went to Huntley Meadows with Science Sarah and Ms.
Yelena! Science Sarah talked about the leaves and how certain trees still have their leaves throughout the winter. The children also enjoyed trying to balance on a large log by walking across from one end to the other.
They also pretended to be different animals.

Outside, the children who stayed at Frog Pond, played in the outdoor tunnel. They also rode around in the toy cars. Some Tadpoles sat on and climbed around the benches. Some also played on the slides and the see-saw.

It was an awesome day at Frog Pond!
