Tadpole Tuesdays: Mini Pumpkins

Dear Tadpole Families:

This morning, the teachers helped the Tadpoles to cut up apples. They
looked at the different parts of the apple such as the seeds and skin.
They also tasted the apple and talked about how it was sweet and sticky.
At the art table, the children used scissors to cut up construction paper.

In the front room, the Tadpoles played with comb blocks and baby dolls. In
the back room, they enjoyed throwing around soft balls and putting them in
the bin. Some children also played on the see-saws and climbed around in
the tent.

Outside, the Tadpoles really enjoyed searching for pumpkins around the
yard. I hid mini pumpkins throughout the yard in the houses and under
plants. The children then searched all around the yard to try to find a
pumpkin. They were excited to each have their own and we plan to decorate
the pumpkins tomorrow morning. Some Tadpoles also played in the sandbox
and others swung on the swings.

At Toad Mountain, the jumpers were practicing their balance by walking up
and down a wooden board. They then did an obstacle course that Ms. Linda
helped them to make. Some jumpers ran up and down the mountain and climbed
around the monkey bars and swung on the swings. The swimmers stayed in the
Tadpole yard and played house as well as in the sandbox and on the swings.

The children enjoyed a picnic outside!

It was a fun day at Frog Pond.
